UNEP/UNESCO/BMUV Training Program 2025 in Germany (Fully Funded)

Applications are now open for the UNEP/UNESCO/BMUV Training Program 2025 in Germany, offering fully funded short courses at Technische Universität Dresden (TUD). This initiative, led by UNEP, UNESCO, and BMUV, is implemented by CIPSEM at TUD Dresden University of Technology.

A total of 84 fellowships will be awarded across three different courses, with durations of either six months or four weeks. Selected participants will be based in Dresden, Germany, with all expenses covered, including travel, meals, accommodation, insurance, stipends, and local transport. There is no application fee, and deadlines vary depending on the course.

  1. Sustainable Mobility: Transforming Urban Spaces (SC92)
    • Duration: 4 weeks (August 21 – September 17, 2025)
    • Application Period: February 11 – March 18, 2025
  2. Navigating Water Challenges: Climate Change and Resource Management (SC93)
    • Duration: 4 weeks (October 09 – November 05, 2025)
    • Application Period: February 25 – April 01, 2025
  3. Environmental Management for Developing Countries (EM49)
    • Duration: 6 months (January 15 – July 17, 2026)
    • Application Period: March 18 – April 23, 2025

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to nationals of OECD’s DAC Countries
  • Age Requirement: 25 to 45 years old
  • Education: At least a Bachelor’s degree related to the environment or the course focus
  • Work Experience: Minimum of three years in a related field
  • Target Participants: Professionals with relevant experience, working in:
    • Government ministries/agencies
    • NGOs
    • Local governments
    • Environmental organizations and institutions
