The EEML Summer School 2025 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is now accepting applications.
This fully funded event will take place from July 21 to July 26, 2025, and will span six days. The program is open to candidates globally, including high school students, undergraduates, master’s students, PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers. Financial support is provided to cover registration fees, accommodation, and travel costs.
The primary aim of the Eastern European Machine Learning Summer School (EEML) is to unite individuals from all over the world in the field of artificial intelligence. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from top-tier machine learning experts in various fields. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2025.
Financial assistance is available based on need, and it includes travel expenses, accommodation, and registration fees, as well as a certificate of participation.
The program focuses on:
- Machine Learning (ML)
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Eligibility for the program includes anyone over the age of 18, including both students and non-students. The program is open to individuals from diverse academic backgrounds, encouraging networking between academia and industry. It is designed to attract participants from all regions around the globe.
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Personal information (name, contact details, affiliation)
- CV (PDF format)
- A statement of research interests (between 500 and 2000 characters)
- Extended abstract, choosing one of the following:
- A description of your machine learning research project
- A reproduction of a top-tier paper published in the last 5 years
- A review of three related top-tier ML papers
- A report on your participation in ML competitions from 2022-2025
The acceptance notifications will be sent in early May 2025, and registration will open in June 2025. Application fees are 100 EUR for students and 150 EUR for postdocs or faculty members.
