Eligibility Criteria

Have the nationality of a country that maintains diplomatic relations with Japan.
Be 34 years old or younger on April 1, 2022.
Being able to arrive in Japan before the start of the fall semester of 2022.
Criteria for the Doctoral Course
The candidate who wishes to be admitted to the Ph.D. course must have the following academic requirements for scholarships for international students in Japan.
The candidate must have an excellent academic record in both undergraduate and master’s degrees
The candidate must normally have a four-year bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree.
Proof of a candidate’s English proficiency (an official TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent score) or certificate of English proficiency
Financial Coverage
As stated above, the Japanese Government Yokohama Scholarship for International Master, and Ph.D. Students are a fully funded scholarship in Japan by MEXT. All expenses will be covered.
MEXT Scholarship: 144,000 yen per month for the Master’s degree candidate.
Ph.D. courses: 145,000 yen per month.
Accommodation: The University will provide free accommodation.
Allowance: 2,000 or 3,000 yen per month will be added to the monthly grant.
No tuition cost: For the entrance exam, the full tuition will be paid by the recommendation scholarship from MEXT University.
The roundtrip air ticket will be an economy-class ticket for the flight.
